Clowning Around in the Woods!

Theatre Outdoors! This camp for middle-schoolers is led by celebrated professional actors and clowns. No experience is necessary for this camp - just a love for performance, text analysis and laughter! Students will also create original clown pieces and build skits based in the language of the bard and Commedia del Arte and share some of their favorite skits and giggles on our final day in the forest.

 June 3 – 12 (Wed-Fri first week; Mon-Fri second week)

Typical Daytime Schedule:

9:45-10am Drop off at the Sallie Bush Community Center

10:00am Opening Circle

10:10am Improvisational Exercise

11:00am Hike to stream for text analysis and writing exercise

12:00pm Lunch and Teacher Supervised free play

1:00pm Circle Time on the Lawn reading humorous scenes

1:45pm Comedic Scene Building

2:45 pm Closing Circle

3:00pm Pick-up and Good-byes
